Obituary for Theresa Fantino
Theresa “Teri” Fantino, a former music executive and a longtime area resident died Tuesday. She was 80 years old. Fantino, was born in the Bronx, to Frank and Letizia LoPresti (nee Corrao). She worked
for many years as an executive assistant in multiple New York City corporations, including CBS, where she started in the secretarial pool and worked her way up to Director of Administration for Epic Records. Epic Records provided Fantino with a springboard for her music industry career which lasted for more than 30 years. She was Executive Vice President of RAM Records, the label launched by the legendary rock club Max’s Kansas City, and produced one of the first live recordings at the iconic CBGB’s on the Bowery, prior to starting her own production and artist management company. Fantino is survived by her two daughters Lisa Fantino and Laura Fantino. She was lovingly cared for by her aide Sonia Hall for the past eight years.
